FAQ

Q. I use a standard carbohydrate/electrolyte sport drink during a workout why do I need to use a protein-based sport drink?
A. Standard carbohydrate/electrolyte sport drinks are based on technology discovered 45 years ago. Scientists now know that by consuming a properly formulated protein-based sport drink during exercise you can get the energy needed to perform at an optimum level with less calories, keep muscles from cramping, hydrate better, and get the protein needed to train longer and recover faster.

Consuming Formula XSport during your workout provides antioxidants to combat exercised induced inflammatory response and dilute levels of protein so gluconeogenesis does not start cannibalizing your muscles allowing you to train longer. In addition, because protein is already in your system it is immediately available, when you finish exercising, to begin recovery without affecting your GI track. This allows you to recover faster and be ready for the next big game hours earlier.

Why let your tired, sore, broken-down muscles wait hours, with digestion time, after a workout to begin repairing themselves when Formula XSport, a good tasting drink that will not affect your GI track, is now available.

Note: Formula XSport is not meant to replace a post-workout recovery drink, it is meant to compliment one.

Q. I have already tried and didn't like or currently use a protein-based sports drink such as Accelerade, PureSport or Hammer Perpetuem, why should I try/use Formula XSport?
A. We didn't like the taste, consistency or feel in our stomach after consuming the other protein-based sport drinks. For this reason, we engineered Formula XSport to have a light and refreshing taste and consistency, like flavored water. This means it is very easy to consume and will not offend your palate or affect you GI track while providing the nutrients your body demands, including protein.

Q. Is Formula XSport a sports drink, an endurance drink, or a recovery drink?
A. Although Formula XSport contains protein it is not meant as a recovery drink. Formula X Sport is a new generation of pre-workout and during exercise sport, endurance drink that provides your body with the nutrients, water, carbohydrates, electrolytes, vitamins and protein, it needs to perform at an optimum level longer and recover quicker with fewer calories. This unique drink is meant as a compliment to a recovery drink allowing the body to ingesting protein during any type of exercise which will help prevent muscle cannibalization and allow for muscle repair to begin immediately.

Q. How does Formula XSport have such a light taste; like a flavored water, while other protein-based drinks have a bitter or milky taste?
A. We are very proud of how light in taste and easy to digest Formula XSport is. As you have tasted from other protein-based products this light taste was extremely difficult to achieve. For that reason we can't give away the secret to our formulations, just know our drinks are all-natural and came about from years of extensive research.

Q. Why is a sports drink better than water?
A. Water is fine for hydration but does not supply anything to help you continue to exercise. So if you are only working out for a short period of time water is fine. However, if you are working hard and sweating a lot then your body will need more than just water to keep functioning properly.

Q. Why does Formula XSport have less carbohydrates than other sport drinks?
A. There is a lot of old research that says a sports drink should have 6 to 8 percent carbohydrates. However through extensive research we have found that lower levels of the proper carbohydrates combined with a dilute amount of protein, will provide sufficient energy. This means the same amount of energy with reduced calories something everyone is looking for as people become more health conscious and try to obtain their ideal body composition.

Q. Does Formula XSport contain caffeine?
A. No. Although caffeine has been shown to increase alertness, Formula XSport does not contain caffeine for a several reasons.
  1. Caffeine is a diuretic. This means it will work to dehydrate the body and dehydration is the number one cause of poor performance. Diuretics not only dehydrate the body, they can cause bowel movements and gastric distress which would obviously be detrimental to your exercise bout.
  2. Caffeine is also a thermogenic. This means it will raise your heartbeat and core body temperature. As you can guess, this may not be wise when exercising at intense levels or in heat.
  3. Despite feeling adrenalized and pumped up, caffeine has not shown any benefit on power and strength.
  4. Because caffeine is a stimulant it is still monitored by all major organizations, WADA, USADA, and the NCAA, and only allowable in the blood stream at specific levels.

Q. I drink a high-protein recovery drink and/or chocolate milk after I workout, why do I need to drink Formula XSport?
A. Post-workout drinks are good and recommended, that is why we created Formula XRecovery. However if you wait till after exercise to consume a recovery drink your tired, sore, broken-down muscles are waiting hours, with digestion time, to get the protein needed to begin recovering. This makes it difficult to train at your maximum level and still be ready for the next big game or training session.

Consuming Formula XSport during your workout provides antioxidants to combat exercised induced inflammatory response and dilute levels of protein so gluconeogenesis does not start cannibalizing your muscles allowing you to train longer. In addition, because protein is already in your system it is immediately available, when your finish exercising, to begin recovery, without affecting your GI track; allowing you to recover faster and be ready for the next big game hours earlier.

Note: Formula XSport is not meant to replace a post-workout recovery drink, it is meant to compliment one.
